When a no strings attached arrangement turns into something more, Cillian O’Malley and Olivia Rashidi must overcome the family ties that bind them. Fans of Jackie Ashenden’s Make You and Kresley Cole’s The Master, will devour the super steamy and fast paced third book, An Indecent Proposal in the wildly popular O’ Malley series by NYT and USA Today Bestselling Author Katee Robert.

Title: An Indecent Proposal

Author: Katee Robert

Series: The O’Malley Series #3

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: August 30, 2016

Publisher: Grand Central Publishing- Forever

Synopsis:

Greed. Ambition. Violence. Those are the “values” Olivia Rashidi learned from her Russian mob family-and the values she must leave behind for the sake of her daughter. When she meets Cillian O’Malley, she recognizes the red flag of his family name . . . yet she still can’t stop herself from seeing the smoldering, tortured man. To save her family, Olivia sets out to discover Cillian’s own secrets, but the real revelation is how fast-and how hard she’s falling for him.

Plagued by a violent past, Cillian is more vulnerable than anyone realizes. Anyone except Olivia, whose beauty, compassion, and pride have him at “hello,” even if she’s more inclined to say good-bye to an O’Malley. While his proposal of sex with no strings seems simple, what he feels for her isn’t, especially after he learns that she belongs to a rival crime family. Cillian knows that there is no escape from the life, but Olivia may be worth trying-and dying-for . . .

Killian O’Malley wondered why Olivia Rashidi seemed to be angry at him every time she saw him when he went to Jamison’s bar in Boston. He engages her, and when she gives him the brush-off, he decides to leave, but gives her an overly generous tip. She doesn’t want to keep the tip, so she decides to chase him down. They end up having some of the hottest sex in a public alley I’ve ever read about.

Olivia goes back to being her cool and aloof self, not a surprise. Seems Olivia doesn’t like men who come from crime families. Killian is still messed up over the drive-by death of his brother months back. And Olivia’s ex Sergei is involved with her brother’s mob family that she ran from. He also wants her and his daughter Hadley back in the fold. Of all the O’Malley’s, I think I like Cillian the best. He’s the most misunderstood one in the family and had taken his brother’s death the hardest, blaming it upon himself.

Though this is a couple that by all rights shouldn’t be together, they make an electric, sexy couple. So far, this is my favorite of the O’Malley series!

An ARC was provided by the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

My Interview With Katee Robert:

How many books are planned in the O’Malley series?
There are five full length books currently contracted. 🙂

What made you decide to write a book on the Russian mob?
I started with the Irish mob because of a variety reasons, but I’ve always been fascinated with the Russian mob. The tattoos, in particular, are amazing to me. Be to able to look at a man and know his crimes and whether he’s spent time in prison, and a variety of other things is so cool. So the Russian mob kind of worked its way into my series without my intending on it being there.

Did you have to do a lot of research to prepare for writing this book?
I have maps and maps and maps of Boston. Ironically, one of the hardest things for me to keep track is one I made up — Cillian’s tattoos. I had to draw them up on a form so I wouldn’t get them turned around.

Cillian is a very unique name, but very cool, and very Irish. Where did you come up with it?
Back when I wrote The Marriage Contract, I knew there were seven children and that the family would all have very Irish names. So I went through a baby name website and made a list of ones that I liked, and then narrowed it from there to the ones that “felt” right. It’s hard to explain, but for me the naming of a character is a very specific process. A name indicates temperament and personality and a number of other things. I firmly believe that part of the reason the O’Malley siblings have become such strong characters, each in their own right, is because of the names I picked for them.

Are the rest of the books in the series going be this exciting?
I hope so! Haha! They’re all very different animals. Sloan’s book is incredibly intense, partially because it’s her finding her feet and her hero is…on another level. And I’m writing Aiden’s story right now, and it’s a different kind of beast altogether.
