For

Emmalyn and Kodah being set free meant living in the real world away from the

clutches of her step-father. It meant living a life they always dreamed about

together.

But it’s

never that easy, is it?

Life

is cruel and untamed.

And not

everything in their past can be forgotten. Nor is it as settled as they hoped.

With their

new-found freedom comes challenges no one should ever face. Separated by memory

but together at heart Emmy and Kodah must find their way back to each other so

they can finally live their happily ever after.

So they

can once and for all be set free.

KG Logo

I would like to preface this review by saying that this is the continuation of Kodah and Emmy’s story from Set Me Free. This is a DARK tale. It deals with issues of child sex slavery and rape. There is also rape in this book. If you have any triggers, I would avoid this book as it’s NOT for the faint of heart. I will also add that I’m a bit disconcerted by the fact that none of this is mentioned in any warning by the author.

This book takes place 5 years after the rescue and Kodah has been watching Emmy. Events lead him to take her back. To fully enjoy the book, I’ll just leave it at that, otherwise, I’d be posting spoilers. This can be a tough, dark, emotional read. But M.R. Leahy is a brilliant writer, so if you enjoy dark reads, you may want to add this to your collection.

My name is Sebastian Lindstrom, and I’m the villain of this

story.

I’ve decided to lay myself bare. To tell the truth for once

in my hollow life, no matter how dark it gets. And I can assure you, it will

get so dark that you’ll find yourself feeling around the blackened corners of

my mind, seeking a door handle that isn’t there.

Don’t mistake this for a confession. I neither seek

forgiveness nor would I accept it. My sins are my own. They keep me company.

Instead, this is the true tale of how I found her, how I stole her, and how I

lost her.

She was a damsel, one who already had her white knight. But

every fairy tale has a villain, someone waiting in the wings to rip it all

down. A scoundrel who will set the world on fire if that means he gets what he

wants. That’s me.

I’m the bad guy.

KG Logo

Sometimes, a book comes along that makes you squirm. Maybe, because you are totally uncomfortable, maybe because you are turned on, or it could be a bit of both. The Bad Guy is a bit of both for me. Sebastian Lindstrom is the bad guy in this story, the “White Knight” is Link, Sebastion’s VP of Marketing in the company that Sebastian is the CEO of, then, there is Camille Briarlane. She’s a teacher, biologist, and botanist. Most of all, she becomes the obsession of both men.

But as we get into this story, we start to wonder. We know Sebastian is not quite right. He doesn’t process emotions like the rest of us, but he does do quite a bit for Camille that makes you say hmmm. Then there is our white knight, maybe he’s not so white after all?

I absolutely loved this book! And I really liked Sebastian, where in the beginning, I was all for someone hitting him with a lead pipe. Camille is a cool customer, if not a bit much into her plants. And Mint? You’ll love that kid!

Crash: Crash Series, Vol 1 by Drew Jordan

Date of Publication: November 1, 2015

Blurb

This is a dark, erotic thriller intended for mature readers.

The greatest love stories begin with blood…

There is blood. There is pain. And there is him. These are the first things I register when I wake up, the lone survivor in an Alaskan plane crash. He carries me to safety over rough terrain and brings me to his cabin in the woods. He has no name. Or none he will tell me.

As snow creeps across the harsh and isolated landscape, he is my only company. My protector, my caretaker. A fascinating enigma, with mysterious eyes, gentle hands, and a rough voice that demands more from me than I ever expected to give. I make up different stories, different names for him depending on his mood, because I know nothing about him except that he is my only connection to the real world I want to return to. So I work to please him, plotting my escape, yet all the while I start to crave him and every touch of his dominating body.

He has saved me from the cold. From death. But in taking me and my body, will he destroy me?

KG Logo

Crash is the first in the Crash Trilogy of books and let me tell you, after book one, I’m totally hooked! Pretty much the entire book takes place in the same desolate location between the two main characters, but there’s plenty going on to keep a reader hooked!

Lanie wakes up after her plane crashes in pain as the only survivor. She ends up being rescued by a large, stern looking man. He takes her back to his cabin and takes care of her wounds. He won’t tell her his name, he demands that she obey him, he has a penchant for rope, and he tells her she can’t ever leave.

This is all told from Lanie’s POV in first person, and she has a bunch of humorous moments as she tries to come up with a name for the Stranger, and some super, sexy hot moments as the Stranger shows his dominant side in bed (and out of it!) Not to mention lots of secrets exposed and a shocker at the end. Definitely a keeper! Very excited for the next book!

Laney and The Stranger’s unusual love story continues in this erotic thriller…

A plane crash brought me to the cabin in the woods with the stranger, but love and sex keeps me here, as his willing captive. Nothing can take me from his arms, not even a man from my past. But the police have questions for me. For us.

All I’ve ever wanted is to stay with the stranger, the man I crave and need, but my secrets are starting to unravel. Escape is what the stranger demands and I’ll do anything for him, including leaving the cabin and creating a new identity. I’ll do whatever he tells me to do- with my body, my heart, my soul.

The last time I loved, I lost. I won’t let that happen again.

HIDE is the follow up to the bestselling erotic thriller, CRASH, with the series conclusion, EXPOSE: The Stranger’s Story, releasing in late 2016. For mature readers only.

All you need is love and a strong alibi…

KG Logo

Hide is the second book in the Crash trilogy by Drew Jordan and if you aren’t a fan of dark, kinky, psychological romance, stop right here. Otherwise, commence on. I’ve gone through the reviews on Amazon and such and realized one thing, this type of book isn’t for everyone. Unfortunately, some people review based on how characters behave and on their sexual proclivities. To them I say, Just put the book down, move on to a book you DO like, and don’t bother leaving a review. Or, as my mother always said, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. My dad’s version was the same but the last part was …then just keep your f*ing trap shut! : )

On to the book review! We pick up where we left off, and this is after Laney has killed Michael. So we learn without a shadow of a doubt that she really is a little crazy, but hey, she fits right in with our stranger perfectly. Then after he disposes of the body with a snow machine, he spanks her, they have some wild and nasty sex, and he proceeds to tie her spread eagle to the bed with a jug of water and a straw in reach and he plans to take off and leave her there as punishment. (here’s where I add that of all the crazy, mixed up stuff that he does, this really bothers me. Until the end of the next book anyway ; )  )

We find out some more of her secrets here and they assume different names. Laney also takes a trip back home to tie up loose ends, but gets called back earlier than expected. You’ll have to read to see what happened with that, it’s just another example of how very twisted our ‘hero’ is. They are just both two very twisted people who fit together like two puzzle pieces. As crazy as some of this gets, it’s enjoyable to read, and the third book is just going to be a culmination of all this crazy and shock everyone. So exciting!

A missing legacy, a stolen son, and one dangerous secret

changed everything for them…

SHE STOLE MY PROPERTY

I’ll never forget the night I caught her sneaking around my

place. She thought she could steal from me and get away with it, but I have no

intention of letting her get away at all. Mian Ross has a lesson to learn, and

I’m going to be the one to teach it to her.

HE STOLE MY SON

I’ll never forget the night I made the second biggest

mistake of my life. It was supposed to be a simple job, but it quickly became

so much more–one that cost my freedom and cost my son. Angel Knight became my

worst nightmare… and now, he’ll never let us go.

KG Logo

Wow! My mouth is kind of hanging open at the end of this book, and now I need to wait for part two to find out what happens. It’s why I kinda hate cliffys, that wait when you really want to know what happens next.

This is a dark, kind of twisty story about Angel and Mian. It starts when they are kids and you get the feeling for their future dynamic when Mian is just 10 and Angel wants her at 16. At 19, she’s been kicked out of her home for being pregnant as a result of rape. Her father is in jail and asks her to do a job, so she unfortunately robs the worst person she could possibly rob. Angel. And her world is about to get turned upside down because of it.

I wasn’t sure what to think of Angel and his crew, Z and Lucas, but I definitely Loverated them by the end. (that’s loved and hated.) Seriously, this book was just BRILLIANT! I am now a B.B. Reid fan for life!

B.B., ALSO KNOWN as Bebe, found her passion for romance when she read her first romance novel by Susan Johnson at a young age. She would sneak into her mother’s closet for books and even sometimes the attic. It soon became a hobby, and later an addiction, influencing her life in a positive way.

Bebe is fresh out of undergrad college and has always wondered about the existence of her talent. When she finally decided to pick up a metaphorical pen and start writing, she found a new way to embrace her passion.

She favors a romance that isn’t always easy on the eyes or heart, and loves to see characters grow–characters who are seemingly doomed from the start but find love anyway.

Fear Me, her debut novel, is the first of many.

The Furnace Man (Death Isle #5) by Kera Faire

furnace

Don’t piss off the furnace man.

It might be a standing joke around the glass factory—he’ll mix you with the sand and burn you, leaving nothing left to discover—but Lindsey Earnshaw is about to find out the truth behind it. Placed there to spy on the place on behalf of the government, a warning message brings forth not only a dead body, but also the one man she’s never forgotten.

Michael Hoult cannot believe his eyes, when his ex-wife turns out to be the receptionist on duty. Having to drug her in order to not blow his cover will not earn him her renewed submission, neither will whisking her away to the Death Isle. Duty first, though. It cost him his marriage all those years ago, but with Lindsey now working for the same side, can they not only catch a killer, but also rediscover each other?

Be Warned: BDSM, spanking

ReviewFBknotty1

So excited that we have another Death Isle book out by Kera Faire! I just LOVE these books. (Admittedly, the pigs on the island make me a tad nervous though.) I’d love to be carried off and interrogated, maybe by two dispatchers. (as long as I wasn’t dispatched yeah?) Ahh those good cop bad cop kinky fantasies.

Anywho, back to the book, The Furnace Man is the latest Dark Isle book to hit the shelves and it’s a juicy one. Just like with Andie and Rio, Lindsey and Michael are at an impasse in their marriage because Michael has had to lie about his job, so Lindsey leaves. But instead of turning to hooking. (You’ll have to pick up Killer At Christmas, a novella, to figure THAT out) Lindsey gets a job with our old pal Darke.

She ends up at a glass making factory where she has an assignment, but what happens when she’s on the look-out for someone who’s using the furnace to hide bodies and she runs into her ex-husband Michael? It’s an interesting trip to the Dark Isle this time.

Just loved this one! The stories are short, but oh so good! And frankly, it’s fun as a Yank trying to discern Kera’s Scot’s vernacular. Thank Goodness for Google! But hey, it makes it that much more fun!

Excerpt:

“Nice now, safe word or suck me off.” He waited as she gulped and hesitated. She swayed towards him and straightened. Many people didn’t involve sex in their play; he and Lindsey always had and that was how he wanted it to be now. However, he remembered oral was something she’d never been keen on and eventually said it was a soft limit. It had never changed and nor had she gone down on him more than a few times, and never ever swallowed his cum. Not something he’d ever encountered before or indeed after Lindsey. She’d tried and after gagging and throwing up, had said swallowing was a big fat red no-no. He’d accepted it, but had missed that special closeness only being jerked off by your partner could bring. But Lindsey was his lady, his sub, he had loved her—still did—and her pleasure came first.

Perhaps it was unfair to throw her into this scenario so quickly, but he knew his pet. She could go round the houses forever. He intended to show her he would not be fazed or upset by her limits whatever.

“Pet, you need to tell me where you are in this. Safe word.” He rapped his demands out. “Now.”

“Green to lick,” she said so softly he had to strain to hear. “I hope.” She took his cock in between her hands and delicately licked the head.

His pre-cum leaked fast and furious and she drew back and looked at it.

Typical. The one time I could do with it taking its time, it comes like the clappers.

“It’s fine,” she said with awe in her voice. “Green.” She took more of his length in her mouth and began to nibble and suck.

He saw stars as the tug and pull became stronger. God almighty did she know the affectshe was having on him? He was going to come if she didn’t slow down or pull back.

“Pet, enough, I’m about to shoot.” Michael tugged her hair, hard enough to make her release him. Or so he hoped.

“Lindsey. Pet, stop now.” Did he sound Dom-like enough? It was bloody hard when half of him would like no more than to fuck her mouth until he filled it with cum, and watched the excess run down her cheeks. But he didn’t truly want to. Not yet. Baby steps.

His command evidently got to her because she moved her mouth from his cock with a gentle plop. The confusion and hurt in her eyes hit him. “Pet, baby steps,” he said softly as he helped her to her feet. “I would happily fill your mouth and fuck it. But, not today. We have so much more to explore and hopefully have a lifetime to do everything in.” Would she understand without him getting too graphic? “I want to fuck your sweet pussy. Fill you that way. Relearn how you sigh and how well our bodies mesh. Make you scream as you come. Shudder and shake for me. Show you how much I love you, have never stopped loving you, and want this to be our happy ever after.”

Lindsey sighed and her eyes became misty. “Sir, My Michael, oh yes. I feel the same. You are mine.  My lover, my friend and my Sir. I want it all as well.”

“First then.” Michael paused, tugged off her cardigan and threw it onto the floor. That’s better. Now…” He unzipped her jeans so he could run one finger around her panty leg. “Firstly, I want you naked so I can spank your sweet ass until it’s the rosy color of that cushion over there.” He slid her panties and jeans down her legs and helped her step out of them. “I want to see my handprint and know that outline shows you are mine. Arms up.” Her t-shirt followed the cardigan. “Stand still, just like that with your arms up. Don’t lower them.”

Michael waited as she did as he demanded, grabbed her ass hard to keep her in place and lowered his lips to the lacy cups of her bra.

And sucked hard.

Lindsey bucked. “Oh grief oh my, oh hell…Oh god, Green bloody green.”

He took that as a good sign, let go of her nipples and ignored her moan as he blew on each hard nub in turn. Deftly he unclipped her bra and flung it in the direction of the rest of her clothes. Now he wished he’d taken her to the playroom. He knew no one was playing in it and he had a cupboard full of delicious things he could use on her. All still new and in their packets. Here, he’d have to be innovative and make do.

At least he had his hands. Michael unclenched his fingers and watched her pupils dilate as he smacked her ass a couple of times. “What color are clothes pegs?” he asked casually. “Specifically on your breasts, nipples and ass.”

“Clo… Pegs?” Her voice rose to a high-pitched squeak. “Pegs on my…oh my…” She blinked. “Can you?”

Michael smiled. “Oh yes. But maybe not yet?”

She nodded. “Perhaps not. I need to rediscover pain, I reckon. Let’s say yellow.”

“Then maybe we should start.” He pondered for a moment. “Here, I think.” He sat on the nearest chair and pulled her to lie over his lap, head to one side, legs to the other. “Color, pet?”

He could visualize her rolling her eyes at him for being so insistent. However she answered him readily, and politely. “Green, Sir.”

“Then, pet, count. Ten on each side and then I’m going to fuck your wet and willing pussy.”

“Yes, Sir,” she said fervently.

Michael laughed as he raised his hand. He hit her right buttock firmly and then rubbed away the sting as she gasped.

“O…One.”

“Good girl.” He repeated the actions on the other globe. By six on each side Lindsey was writhing and he opened his legs enough to reach between them and pinch her clit hard. “No coming or I’ll stop now.”

“Eh?” She sounded dazed. “F…flip, no…no. Don’t stop.”

“Then behave.”
