My story isn’t a very conventional one. I met my man online, which isn’t a

shocking thing nowadays.

I sure didn’t know that he would rescue me from hell.

I had been stuck in hell with no way out. Then Techy swooped in with guns

blazing and took me out of there. A knight in shining leather.

I didn’t expect to feel what I feel; that I would fall in love, that I would

feel safe and protected.

I had never felt that before.

Until Techy.

Techy is a member of the Devil’s Souls MC, the most notorious MC in Texas. They

love hard and fight harder. You mess with their family, hell is something you’d

beg for.

Shit hits the fan when someone from my past comes to get what my dead father

never gave back to him.

My name is Alisha and this is my story.

Techy

A man is after my woman.

He won’t be a man much longer.

He dares to try and take her from me?

Hell is something he’ll beg for. Because nobody, and I mean nobody, looks in

Alisha’s direction in a way I don’t like. If they do? They’ll be eating their

teeth.

If you threaten her? Death is an easy way out.

I will do whatever it takes to protect her.

This book has a HEA, with no cheating and a obsessed alpha. If you don’t like

instalove this book isn’t for you.

ReviewFBknotty1

Techy by LeAnn Ashers is the second book in the Devil’s Souls MC series. As usual, I come late to the party and start on book 2, but this is also a standalone, so no worries there. I will warn you that there is quite a bit of violence, domestic violence, and some majorly possessive alpha males in this book/series.

Alisha is just shy of 21 and living in a trailer with her abusive, junkie father and junkie mother. The only highlight of her life is her face to face calls on her hidden phone with Techy, a Devils Souls MC member who is obviously their computer hacker and tech expert. Her father goes a bit too far and Techy rescues her, then takes her home and cares for her. He also spoils her rotten.

But as sweet as Techy can be, he’s also possessive. It’s a trait which carries over to the other brothers of the MC. When Alisha and the girls are disrespected, issues crop up with a truly sinister gang. Can Techy and the boys stop them before anyone gets hurt?

I actually really enjoyed this story, though there were some inconsistencies in the story. (I.e He places her on the couch, but picks her up of the floor. Her IV is in the night before, but just seems to disappear in the am. ect.) My other issues were that both Techy and even Alisha were excessively violent at times, and after peeking at book one, the author seems to be a bit pregnancy happy. Having all of the characters pregnant in a series is just too much, especially when they are all pregnant at the same time.

One day you held my hand. One day you loved me.

Then you were gone.

At sixteen, I lost the only love I’d ever known. Thrown back into the foster system, pregnant and alone, I prayed that you’d come for me and save me from life’s cruelties. Only the next time I saw you, it was too late.

Doing what I needed to do to provide for my son, we were finally brought face to face. It should have been the best day of my life, but it was far from it. It was the worst.

That day a monster took me and held me captive.

I begged for my life. I prayed for my son. I dreamt of you, the memories keeping me alive.

You finally came for me. You were my heart. My Salvation.

But sometimes the heart is too damaged, too broken, to be saved.

And sometimes monsters have a way of coming back to haunt me.

*This is a dark story. It is intended for mature audiences. If you need a trigger warning then this book isn’t for you. I have other books of mine that I’d recommend like Current or Tainted by Crazy, but not this one.

Sometimes you read a book and it just stays with you. Then, you just HAVE to tell your friends about it, even the ones who don’t read. Because, the book, it’s just SO UNBELIEVABLY GREAT!!! Cut Wide Open by Abby McCarthy is THAT book.

This is about the story of Gunnar and Charlie. (Charlotte) They meet when Charlie is 8 years old and she lives across the street from Gunnar. Charlie doesn’t have a great life, and she grows up with Gunnar being her rock. But they end up separated for a long time, and when Gunnar finally finds her, a huge misunderstanding ends up leading to Charlie’s biggest nightmare. (There be triggers here.) Will they find each other again?

This was such an emotional, gut-wrenching story, but it also pointed out the power of long, abiding love. Gunnar is Charlie’s soulmate, and he loves her so much that he would go to the ends of the earth for her. There’s also some MC action here, and a wonderful cast of side characters that will make for awesome books in this series!! I can’t wait for the next one!!!

Sofia

I knew little of Raphael Amado’s history with my family, but when he turned up on our doorstep demanding restitution, my grandfather quickly conceded. That restitution? Me.

Six months later, on my eighteenth birthday, Raphael came for me. He stole me from my home, taking me to his Tuscan estate, where from the crumbling chapel to the burnt-down vineyard, to the cellar that haunted him, the past stalked him like a shadow. It waited for him, hid behind corners for him and trapped him at every turn.

As much as Raphael’s cruelty terrified me, his darkness seduced me. But in the end, it was his tenderness that devastated me.

Raphael

Sofia came to me like an offering. Like a virgin to be sacrificed at the altar. But truth was, her grandfather betrayed her. I guess we had that in common. He’d screwed me too.

I knew hate. I’d vowed vengeance. This was never supposed to be about anything else. But in the end, her innocence broke me. The very thing I would destroy, destroyed me.

Dishonorable is one of those books that tend to stick with you a long while after you read it. While it’s not a typical romance, it is a dark one, and it’s well worth reading, as are all of Natasha Knight’s books.

Sofia and her younger sister live with her grandfather, who has been taking care of them since her parents passed away. But when Rafael Amado comes to collect a debt owed to him, her grandfather decides to hand HER over. So on her 18th birthday, she finds herself collected and flown off to a crumbling Tuscan estate.

She comes to find out a lot about the grandfather who has cared for her and her sister through her new husband, who she also learns quite a bit about. Rafael took Sofia as payment for a debt owed to his family, but as Sofia stands up to him and gets involved in his life, things change. But an old enemy of his deceased father’s may just put them all in danger, and Sofia’s grandfather might just be bigger trouble than they all realized.

You’ll most definitely want to get your hooks into a copy of this book. Ms. Knight does what she does best and that’s weave a dark and twisted tale along with hot sex and romance intertwined to make a literary goodie you’ll want to read over and over again.

Excerpt

Before I could scan the crowd for Damian, a hand wrapped around mine…one with cuts and blood on the knuckles. It was Damian and he looked pissed.

“What the fuck are you doing here?”

My heart hurt seeing his face—a cut near his left eye, blood smeared down his cheek and a blooming bruise on his jaw. “I heard you and Cam talking. I was curious.”

He had been walking me toward the exit but those words stopped him. His feet sort of rooted themselves to the concrete floor as his head turned in my direction. “So you walked here alone?”

“It wasn’t far.”

That wasn’t the right answer apparently because he hissed between his teeth. It wasn’t an actual word, just a release of frustration.

He started toward the exit again. “What are you fighting when you are out there?”

We had just reached the stairs when he pulled me behind them and pressed me up against the wall. “Come again?”

“When you fight, what are you fighting?”

“Not who am I fighting?”

“No, your opponent isn’t what you’re fighting.”

He leaned in and lowered his head to look me right in the eyes. “How do you know that?”

I gently wiped the blood from his face. “I know you.”

He had the strangest reaction to that. He closed his eyes, like he was in pain, and lowered his forehead to my shoulder. “This can’t happen.”

Those words caused a chill to move right down my spine. He was wrong. It totally could and should happen. “Why not?”

He lifted his head and for the first time I saw so much more in those eyes. “Cam is a good friend and your parents are like my own.”

“And?”His lips brushed along my jaw and I had to lock my knees to keep from sliding down the wall. “And if I did to you all the things I wanted, I couldn’t sit at their table without them knowing that I claimed every part of you.”

“I am neither dead, nor alive, and I’m not something little Madison can hide.
But you will be dead, by the time this is done…
the timer starts now, and the games have just begun…”

When she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, the private school her father has swept her into in The Hamptons, she hopes for a fresh start. What she wasn’t hoping for was the pack of bad boys who run the school; ten, to be exact. When Madison gains the attention of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, a whole new world that she didn’t think existed is exposed to her. A whole world that starts and ends with The Elite Kings Club and these boys, are about to flip her world upside down. Secrets are overflowing and family lies are about to be exposed. Is there more to Madison Montgomery than even she knows?
About this book:
I need to admit something right now. The Silver Swan is f*cked. It might be the most insane story I’ve ever written with equally insane characters. Who knew? You know, when I started this book, it was supposed to be YA. I wanted to write a book that my sisters could read. A book that won’t have people look at my mum like “damn… what sort of messed up shit happened to your kid?”. The angst, the assholeness, the games, the f**kery, the WHAT THE F**KING F**K ARE YOU DOING???!!!…
I cannot even…. anyway, this is a warning (and the only one I’ll give you). It’s crazy. I don’t compare my work to my others, but this book is f**ked. It will most likely stomp all the f**k over people’s hard limits (and not give a sh*t while it’s doing it) and will make you second guess all the morals you thought you had.
This most definitely is not looking like a love story right now… more like a….. I don’t even….*shakes head* anyway, I apologise now. You asked for it……….

I wanted to make one thing clear, I don’t normally read YA books. If the characters in said book aren’t over 18, I pretty much give it a pass, but…this IS Amo Jones, and come ON, have you read that warning???
So I read the book, and yes, it most definitely fu**ed with my head, and fair warning, this ends on a cliffy. Madison, or Madi, has changed schools to try to get away from the awful family event that has been an albatross around her neck. However, nothing ever survives gossip, and the students at her new school already know what happened. Despite that, she ends up making a friend that first day, Tatum, who becomes one of her best friends. As Tatum shows her around, they run into a pack of boys who’s presence is larger than life. Tatum explains that they are the Elite Kings Club, a super secret club, and that Madi should stay away. But she ends up catching the eye of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, a bad boy if ever there was one.
These boys are dangerous, and they have secrets, deadly secrets. Madi is more involved than she could have ever imagined, and it turns out that she’s got some serious family issues. This book has got some major head f**ks, and twists and turns all over the place. Amo Jones is a pretty twisted author, and I mean that in a good way, but this book took it to the next level and kept me on the edge. Kind of like being on the top of the roller coaster and waiting for that big drop. I am waiting for the big loop to come with the next book. She’s just that great.
This is a Fantastically F**ked Up 5 Star Fantabulous Read!

“Nate?” I whisper. “Maybe I took a wrong turn.”

Silence.

“Nate!” I yell down the phone. “This isn’t funny.”

“I’m not laughing, sis. Keep going, we can see your headlights.” What am I doing? I’m basically relying on the fact that Nate and I had bonded a little and that both our parents are together. I’m not sure those facts are worth my life. No, he wouldn’t. I’m just being paranoid. The only time, except for school, where I didn’t bring my fucking pistol either. I sag in defeat. My dad will not be impressed with my not carrying, and my mom will no doubt be screaming at me from the other side about how these are the reasons why she and my dad educated me so much on firearms. I’ve failed as a fucking daughter. I shuffle up in my seat.

“Nate, I don’t fucking see anything up here but ja—OMG!” I slam on the breaks, all four tires locking up in a skid. I squeeze the steering wheel tightly, banging down the locks on the doors. “Nate!” I yell into the phone.

Silence.

Slowly, I look up out the front windscreen, the thick dust from my tires interrupting the loose gravel still floating in the air and that’s when I see it again.

Ten men.

Ten dark hoodies covering their faces.

Ten—“Nate..” understanding sets in. Ten.

Slamming the gear into reverse, I’m just about to floor it backwards—to hell with anything or anyone behind me—when my driver’s window smashes into a million pieces, the tiny shards of glass falling onto my lap. I scream, my hands coming up to shield my face just as an arm slips inside and pops up the lock.

A deep menacing chuckle breathes over the back of my neck just as a leather gloved hand wraps around my mouth and pulls me out of the car. “Hello Madison. You don’t know us, but we know you. We want to play a game. Here’s what happens if you lose…”

Excerpt:

“You make me remember I need to be good and right in my choices.”

“Do you ever question doing what is good and right?”

“There have been times when I felt like my hand was forced.”

“When you were a lawyer?”

“No,” I say. “I manipulated the law, as does every attorney, but I never broke it. I’m talking about when I’m with my family.”

“Did you go where they lead?”

“Not so far.”

“That sounds like you might.”

“I don’t want to be them.”

“You aren’t them. You don’t have to be them.”

“I know that,” I say. “But you just keep telling me so I don’t forget.” Her legs hit the bed frame and she grips my arms.

I lean into a kiss and she pulls back, her hand pressing on my chest. “Wait. Now it’s my turn to say talk to me. Are you okay?”

“Death happened. The one thing I can’t control. It’s not the night to push me to stop protecting you. Not tonight. Can you do that?”

“Yes. We can.”

“We,” I repeat, “and that word sounds as good on my tongue as I know you’re going to taste. I’m going to make love to you properly. The way I plan to many times in our future.” I reach down and untie her robe, letting it fall open; my fingers sliding underneath just far enough to tease her nipples. They pucker beneath my touch, and her lashes flutter, settling on her cheeks. “But when it’s over, I’m going to fuck you hard and fast again.”

I tug gently on her nipples and she bites her lips. “Look at me,” I order gently.

She opens her eyes, and there is desire in their depths, but there are shadows there too,. I do not think she intends for me to see doubt or uncertainty that wasn’t there before. That I do not like or wish to know ever again. I want it gone. Now. Tomorrow. Forever. I reach up and rip the silk tie from her robe, wrapping it around my hand, before I reach up and caress the robe off her shoulder, letting it tumble to the ground.

“Give me your hands,” I order, but it’s really a question: Does she still trust me?

She studies me for several beats, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly, and I do not know what she sees in mine, but she offers me her hands. I wrap the silk around her wrists then lean in close to her, my cheek against her cheek, my body touching her nowhere else. “Now you’re at my mercy.”

“Yes,” she agrees. “I am.”

“How do you feel about that?”

“Warm.”

My lips curve with the answer that is every bit the combination of sweet sexy honesty I’ve come to expect from her. “I’m going to make you warmer.”

“Promise?”

I go still with that question, which on the surface is innocent, but I wonder if it truly is or if it’s about those shadows in her eyes. “I promise,” I say. “And you know, I never—”

“Make a promise you don’t keep.”

“Exactly,” I say, and her reference to my previous words tells me that I am not the only one on a mission of trust, and I intend to deserve hers.

I bring my hands to just above her shoulders, letting them lightly touch her before beginning a slow caress downward. She makes a soft little sound that has my cock thickening and my blood running hot, but I won’t rush this. My lips follow, tracing a line down one of her arms, then the other. I lean and caress my lips over hers, a feather light touch that teases me, if not her.

I take her hands in mine, pressing them behind her head. “Hold them there, for me, so I can see all of you. Understand?”

“You intend to tease me incessantly,” she says, without so much as a hint of hesitation. “Yes. I understand.”

I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her naked body against me, my free hand on hers above her head, our mouths a breath apart. “I intend to lick every part of you, and then do it again, so yes. If that’s the definition of incessant teasing, then yes. I am going to tease you incessantly.” I close my mouth down on hers, my tongue licking into her mouth, a deep, hungry tasting I force myself to end far too quickly. “That was the beginning. Should I could continue?”

“Yes. Please.”

“Please,” I say. “I like that.”
